I worked for my diploma in Jena, too.
My Diploma thesis contains four parts:
I. I searched for ammonia in a flux limited sample of
bright IRAS sources with characteristics of young stellar objects.
This survey was done with the 100m Effelsberg telescope.
Paper: Schreyer K., Henning Th., Koempe C., Harjunpaeae P.,
NH3 and HCO+ towards luminous IRAS sources,
1996, A&A 306, 267
II. The region around one source of this sample, I
examinated in more detail with mapping of NH3(J,K=1,1) and (2,2),
CO (J=3-2), (J=2-1), and 13CO (J=2-1). This IRAS source is
located near the HII region NGC 281.
Paper:

D., Zinnecker H.,
Multi-wavelength study of NGC 281 A,
1994, A&A 288, 282
III. I examinated the distribution
of IRAS sources with IRAS fluxes greater than 500 Jy at 100 mircon
in two-colour diagrams and over the galactic plane. Additionally,
I investigated the distribution of BN-type objects.
IV. A catalogue of all NH3 measurements until 1992 were compilied.
A part of this was merged into the paper:
Chan S.J., Henning Th., Schreyer K.,
A catalogue of massive young stellar objects,
1996, Astron. and Astrophys. Suppl. Ser., 115, 285
